1. Who we are
Nordisk Inspirasjon AS, Kanalveien 7, 5068 Bergen, Norge, publishes nordiskinspirasjon.com. Contact for privacy questions is the same mailbox we use for editorial mail: contact@nordiskinspirasjon.com. The company is a Norwegian editorial desk. It reviews real casino hotels that a Norwegian traveller can actually reach. It is not a hotel brand, not a casino operator, not a payment institution and not a gambling licensee.
Hotel names, casino names and trademarks appear on these pages only as identifiers for businesses that exist at a published address. Using a name does not mean that business runs this site, sponsors the desk, or receives the contents of our contact form. If you need a room or a table, the contract is with the operator you book with, not with Nordisk Inspirasjon AS.
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains how we process personal data when you browse the site, switch between English and Norwegian, send a contact or reservation-inquiry form, or answer the cookie banner. It is written for visitors in Norway and the wider European Economic Area under the GDPR and the Norwegian Personal Data Act. It describes our own processing, not the processing of every site you might open from a button on our pages.
Hotels, casinos, booking engines, map providers and gambling regulators are separate controllers. When you leave nordiskinspirasjon.com, their privacy notices apply. We do not rewrite those notices here, and we cannot exercise your rights against them on your behalf. Read their pages before you type a card number or create an account.
3. Data we collect from forms
Contact and reservation-inquiry forms collect the fields you choose to type: typically a name, an email address, a subject or travel dates, and a free-text message. We use that material only to understand the question and to reply. We do not use form fields to build a marketing list, to score you as a gambler, or to decide whether a hotel should admit you.
A reservation inquiry on this site is a message to our editorial desk. It is not a hotel booking, not a confirmation, and not a request made in a property’s name. We do not forward the message as if we were the concierge, and we do not take a deposit. If you want a live rate, use the hotel’s official booking engine linked from the relevant review.
4. Technical data
The host that serves these pages may log technical data that browsers send by default: IP address, approximate time, requested URL, referrer if present, and a user-agent string. Those logs exist so the site can stay up, so we can see whether a request failed, and so we can investigate abuse such as flooding the forms or probing for open directories.
We do not treat server logs as a marketing database. They are not combined with your form name to build a profile unless you later allow analytics cookies and a statistics product is actually connected. If an incident requires a longer look at a log line, we keep that line only as long as the incident requires.
5. Cookies
This site uses a small set of first-party storage tools so a bilingual review desk can remember two things: whether you last chose English or Norwegian, and whether you have answered the cookie banner. Those values live in localStorage under the keys described in the Cookie Policy (ni-lang and ni-cookies). They are not advertising identifiers and they are not sold.
Analytics cookies, if we connect a statistics product at all, stay off until you press “Allow analytics”. Choosing “Necessary only” leaves language memory in place and does not switch analytics on. The Cookie Policy is the detailed map of storage; this section only states that privacy and cookies are linked.
6. Analytics
If you allow analytics, we may use a statistics tool to see which pages are read, in what language, and whether a review is abandoned halfway. That is an editorial interest: we want to know whether the Copenhagen dossier is used, not whether you personally prefer roulette. Until you allow analytics, we do not set analytics cookies from this site.
You can withdraw that consent without having to explain why. Clear this site’s data in the browser, reload, and choose “Necessary only” on the banner. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful, but it stops further analytics cookies from this origin. If no analytics product is connected yet, allowing analytics still does not create a hidden tracker we have not described.
7. Third-party services
Some pages embed a map. That embed loads Google Maps in your browser. Google then becomes a controller (and a processor for its own products) for whatever data the map requests: IP address, approximate location derived from that address, and cookies Google sets when an iframe loads. Viewing a map is an interaction with Google’s services, not only with Nordisk Inspirasjon.
Buttons labelled Check availability, official hotel, regulator or help organisation open a new site. Booking.com, Radisson, Marienlyst, Munkebjerg, Comwell, casino operators, Spillemyndigheden, Lotteritilsynet, ROFUS, StopSpillet and Hjelpelinjen all run their own notices. Once the new tab opens, we do not see what you type there and we do not receive a commission statement as part of this privacy policy.
8. Legal bases
Form data is processed because you asked us to reply: steps at your request before a contract that may never exist (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in answering editorial mail about a page we published (Art. 6(1)(f)). A reservation inquiry is still editorial mail. It does not become a hotel contract merely because you typed dates.
Necessary language and consent storage rests on legitimate interest in a site that can stay in the language you chose and that can remember that you already answered the banner. Analytics and any other non-essential cookies rest on consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can refuse analytics and still read every review. We do not make the dossier conditional on a statistics cookie.
9. Storage
Inquiry messages are kept for as long as we need them to finish the correspondence, to confirm that we answered, and to meet any legal hold that actually applies. When that period ends, we delete the thread or archive it with access limited to people who need it for the desk. We do not keep a permanent “player file” and we do not store copies of passports.
Server logs follow the hosting provider’s ordinary cycle, typically a matter of weeks, unless a security incident, a legal request we are required to honour, or an ongoing abuse investigation needs a longer window. We do not promise a public live dashboard of retention clocks; if you need a specific erasure, write to the mailbox above and identify the email address you used.
10. Transfers
The editorial desk sits in Bergen. Hosting, email, maps and some booking engines may process data on servers outside Norway, including elsewhere in the EEA and, for some vendors, the United States. Where a transfer leaves the EEA, we expect the importer to use a lawful tool such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses, not a handshake.
We cannot rewrite Google’s or a hotel group’s transfer map in this paragraph. If you do not want a map provider to see your IP address, do not load the embed; the street address is still written in the review. If you do not want a US booking engine to receive your stay dates, book on the hotel’s own European site instead of a global platform, where that option exists.
11. Your rights
You may request access to personal data we hold about you, correction of what is wrong, erasure where the GDPR allows it, restriction of processing, portability of data you provided, and objection to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw consent for analytics without charge and without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
Send the request to contact@nordiskinspirasjon.com from an address we can match to the inquiry, or include enough detail that we can find the thread. We may need to verify that we are answering the right person. You may complain to Datatilsynet in Norway or to the supervisory authority in your own EEA country. This page is a description of practice, not a substitute for advice from that authority.
12. Children
The site discusses licensed land casinos. In Denmark those doors are 18+ with photo ID. We do not write for children, we do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we do not ask a minor to send a reservation inquiry. If a parent or guardian believes a child has typed a form, write to us and we will delete the message we can identify.
A hotel page that mentions a family room, a pool or a fairy-tale room name is still a page about an adult casino pairing. It is not a children’s product. We will not pretend that a casino hotel is a substitute for a playground, and we will not collect a child’s data to “complete a booking” we cannot make.
13. Security
Pages are served over HTTPS. Mailboxes used for inquiries are limited to people who need them for the desk. We do not ask for payment card numbers, passport scans or ROFUS status in our forms, and you should not send them. A form that can be filled in a browser is not a vault.
No editorial site can promise that a host, a browser or a mail path is immune to attack. If we become aware of a breach that is likely to risk your rights, we will follow the notification duties that apply to us. Until then, treat anything you type here as something an editor might need to read, not as something a casino cage should receive.
14. Independent status
We publish independent information about real hotels and licensed casinos and we may link to third-party booking services. That is a review desk with outbound doors, not a travel agency holding allotments. Sharing an inquiry with us does not create a contract with Radisson, Marienlyst, Munkebjerg, Comwell or any casino company.
If a hotel later confirms a room, that confirmation comes from the hotel or its engine. If a casino later checks your ID, that check is the casino’s. Our privacy role stops at the message you sent to Bergen and the technical data needed to run this website.
15. Changes
We may update this policy when the site, the law or the tools we use change. The date at the bottom is the latest revision we have published. Material changes — a new analytics product, a new form field, a new host outside the EEA — will be described on this page in ordinary language, not only in a changelog buried in a footer.
If a change affects how we use personal data we already hold, we will say so here. Continuing to browse after a revision means you are reading the current text. It does not silently convert an old inquiry into a marketing consent you never gave.
16. Correspondence language
You may write in English or Norwegian. We may reply in the language of your message when we can. English is the primary language of the legal pages; Norwegian is provided so a reader in Norway is not forced through a foreign banner. If a translation is thinner than the English clause, write to us and we will treat the English legal text as the reference unless Norwegian mandatory law requires otherwise.
Form fields are not a newsletter signup. We will not add your address to a promotional list because you asked whether Munkebjerg’s casino door is inside the hotel. If you only wanted a link to the official booker, you can ignore our reply and use the button on the hotel page.
